Kapteyn Food Committee

The Kapteyn Food Committee (KFC) organises around 4 dinners every year. These are centered around a theme and specifically organised to improve inclusion and internationalisation within the association. The committee consists of multiple internationals from as many different years as possible. Two of those dinners are organised in room 161 in the Kapteyn institute, which will be transformed into an amazing restaurant where the most delicious dishes are served. Traditionally, the committee makes the desert themselves. Next to that, a dinner will be organised at an external location outside of the Kapteyn institute. In previous years dinners were organised at DOT, combined with a planetarium show. Finally, the committee also helps organise the famous Kastanjefeest in December and the free barbecue in the summer together with the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute and SRON.
